*ISLAMABAD: **Federal Government responds over media reports of reshuffleof government ministers including Asad Umar.*
*Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, onMonday refuted reports regarding reshuffle of portfolios of federalministers, ARY News reported.*
Fawad Chaudhry, in his latest Twitter message, clarified, “There is notruth in reports regarding any reshuffle in portfolios of governmentministers.”
“Prime Minister [Imran Khan] has discretionary powers to change ministersand media should exhibit its responsibility in this regards,” he added.

Later, the information minister told media that Pakistan was passingthrough an important phase at the time and such speculations could haveresulted in anxiousness [among the nationals] which went against thenational interests.
Prime Minister has sent message that wrong reports were being aired onmedia, he said, adding that such reports should not be run prior to itsverification.
Chaudhry said that false reports caused damages to the image of the countryand media as well.
“The reports emerge when talks with IMF are in final phase. Major updatesare due in next two days regarding national economy,” he said. Chaudhryadded, “Progress is also being witnessed in positive direction pertains tothe matter of Financial Action Task Force (FATF).”
The minister confirmed that performance reports of ministers reached out toPM Imran Khan. He said that the nation would be made aware of anydevelopment if the government takes any decision regarding ministers’portfolios.
