ISLAMABAD – Countries across the world are closing borders and suspendingflights amid increasing coronavirus cases.
Saudi Arabia has suspended all international flights for two weeks fromSunday.
Australia and New Zealand have ordered all international arrivals toself-isolate.
The United States extended travel ban imposed on European nations to theUnited Kingdom and Ireland from Tuesday while Ecuador, Venezuela andArgentina have closed their borders.
In Europe, France and Spain have announced emergency restrictions to combatthe spread of coronavirus while Turkey and Georgia have also closed theirborder crossing.
In Africa, some countries have declared state of emergency while othershave banned gatherings and cancelled fight operations.
Meanwhile, in India, the number of coronavirus cases has risen to 107 withtwo deaths reported so far. It also closed its border check-posts andsuspended flight.
