PIA CEO holds important meeting with PM Imran Khan

*ISLAMABAD: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airline(PIA) Air Marshal (retd) Arshad Mehmood Malik called on Prime MinisterImran Khan on Friday.*

During the meeting, Malik briefed PM Khan about the matters related to thenational flag carrier.

Suggestions pertaining to the development of PIA, along with steps toimprove its services were also discussed between the premier and the PIAhead.

The prime minister expressed satisfaction over the measures taken by thenational airline lately and mulled over the strategy to shrink the lossesincurred by PIA.

It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, American authorities green-lighted Pakistan International Airlines for the direct flight operations tothe United States, as per sources.

The development came on the heels of a meeting of the Consul General of theUnited States of America JoAnne Wagner on Wednesday with the PIA CEO ArshadMalik, here at the PIA headquarters.

Sources privy to the development said, the PIA has started its preparationsfor the direct flight operations to the US.
