*LAHORE: After rejecting two rooms over lack of facilities in Lahore’sJinnah hospital, erstwhile prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday finallyliked a room and demanded to place a TV in it.*
Sharif was moved to Jinnah Hospital from Kot Lakhpat jail owing to hisillness, earlier in the day.
Following Nawaz’s wish of providing a TV in his room, the hospitaladministration removed a 32 inch LED installed in the room of medicalsuperintendent (MS) to fix it in the PML-leader’s room.
Earlier, Sharif had expressed discomfort over facilities being provided inthe VVIP block of the hospital.
Foolproof security measures were taken to ensure Nawaz’s safe stay in thehospital, beside the setup of a private room.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the former prime minister had alsocomplained about lack of services at the Services hospital.
Later, the Punjab government had decided to shift him to the PunjabInstitute of Cardiology (PIC), but the PML-N leader had refused to beshifted over them and insisted to be taken back to jail.
The former premier was shifted to Services Hospital on February 3 andunderwent medical tests to ascertain his health condition. The officialsaid the tests had detected a stone in Sharif’s left kidney.
