LONDON – Ahmad Nawaz, the student who survived the attack on the ArmyPublic School in Peshawar in 2014, has become the third Pakistani to beawarded a Point of Light for his work as an anti-radicalisation youthactivist.
The Points of Light awards recognise outstanding volunteers every day ofthe week – people whose service is making a difference in their communitiesand whose story can inspire others to create innovative solutions to socialchallenges in their own communities and beyond.
Nawaz has addressed thousands of students at various schools in the UK andat events organised by the United Nations, encouraging communities to uniteand fight extremism together.
