Islamabad: PML-N leader and former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has stated that the President's letter holds no significance.
Rana Sanaullah made this statement in a private TV program, saying that the President's letter has no importance. He mentioned that he does not have the authority, and the President did not consider the demands of his office. The President cannot claim that it's his discretion to hold elections on a specific date; President Arif Alvi has asked the Law Ministry for an opinion. He stated that the power to interpret the Constitution and laws lies with the Supreme Court.
Rana Sanaullah, responding to a question, said that Bilawal Bhutto was our ally until August 8, now he is not, and he will be competing against us in the elections. Bilawal has the right to express his views according to the practical wisdom of the election. Bilawal Bhutto's statement is political, and it's their right to give their stance on the election. We don't need to take the Pakistan Peoples Party's words negatively.
When the population census results were accepted unanimously, Bilawal Bhutto knew that the election would not happen in 90 days but 90 plus 45 days later. The Election Commission has started the process of constituency delimitation.
