Former federal information minister Muhammad Ali Durrani has asserted that both President Dr. Arif Alvi and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif share a common 'positive stance,' characterized by their reluctance to engage in a confrontational relationship with the military establishment.

In an exclusive conversation with ARY News, Durrani recounted his encounter with PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif during his time in jail when he advised against instigating a feud with the military establishment. Shehbaz Sharif, he revealed, explained that he was obligated to follow the directives of his party leadership, emphasizing that both the former premier and President Alvi held similar positive perspectives.

Furthermore, Durrani disclosed that he had conveyed his concerns to PML-N's leader, Nawaz Sharif, cautioning that PTI's chief would remain in power if they targeted the wrong adversary, comparing it to hitting the ball on the umpire's head instead of the intended target. He emphasized that the removal of a politician from power is ultimately determined by the people of the country, underlining the significance of public opinion in such matters.

Responding to inquiries, the former minister highlighted the positive impact of his interactions with President Dr. Arif Alvi and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on the political landscape.

He claimed to have a deep understanding of PTI's chief, stating that he could anticipate his future actions, and he stressed that participation in a level-playing field would be contingent on the likelihood of achieving favorable outcomes.

Prior to meeting with President Dr. Arif Alvi, Durrani reported having discussions with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders who remained committed to the party's cause. According to him, these leaders expressed a desire for reconciliation, in contrast to those who had departed from the party, who appeared to favor conflict.

Meanwhile, Ali Durrani announced his intention to unveil confidence-building measures (CBMs) on Friday, aimed at representing and addressing the concerns of those within PTI who are currently experiencing a crisis.
