Shutdown in Occupied Kashmir over martyrdom of Hurriyet leader by Indian forces

SRINAGAR - In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Sopore and Zainageer areas of Baramulla district, today to protest against the killing of Hurriyet activist, Hakeem-ur-Rehman Sultani, and youth by Indian troops.

Call for the shutdown was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

All shops, business establishments and petrol pumps are closed in Sopore and Zaingeer areas while transport is off the road.

The occupation authorities yesterday ordered the closure of all educational institutions in Sopore sub-division today.
