Pakistan is 187-9 against India after 34 overs in their World Cup 2023 fixture in Ahmedabad after being invited to bat first. After losing both the openers, Babar and Rizwan were at the crease.
However, Muhammad Siraj got out Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, after he completed his half-century. On behalf of Pakistan, Imamul Haq and Abdullah Shafiq opened the innings and established a partnership of 41 runs.
Afterward, Abdullah Shafiq scored 20 runs in the eighth over and got out lbw in the over of Mohammad Siraj. Siraj has finally made up for giving out runs to Pakistan early on in the game.
The bowler has dismissed Abdullah Shafiq. Babar Azam now takes Shafiq's place on the field.
India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss on Saturday and elected to bowl first against Pakistan in a blockbuster World Cup match expected to be attended by 120,000 fans.
