CEC visits the control room in Islamabad

Election Commission of Pakistan has established a central control room at its headquarters in Islamabad for the ongoing by-elections.

According to an official of ECP, the control room will remain functional till completion of election results.

The official said a separate complaint cell has been established at ECP to receive complaints related to the by-polls.

He said a facilitation and result receiving center has also been established which will work round the clock.

The official said media has been asked to avoid releasing unofficial results before 6:00 pm today as ordered by Lahore High Court.

Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan and Secretary Election Commission visited the control room in Islamabad and reviewed the electoral process.
