In a recent turn of events, former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq found himself issuing a public apology to Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This came after he made controversial comments during a press conference, mistakenly involving Aishwarya Rai's name while discussing cricket and coaching.

Razzaq, acknowledging his error, expressed regret, stating, "It shouldn't have been done. I heartily apologize to her."

In the apology video, Abdul Razzaq emphasized that using the actress's name was unintentional and should not have occurred in the first place. He sincerely acknowledged his mistake and conveyed his apologies for the inadvertent slip of the tongue.

Cricket legend Shahid Afridi, who was seen laughing during Razzaq's controversial statements, later explained that the references made by Razzaq were unethical and inappropriate. Afridi condemned such statements and urged Razzaq to issue a public apology. Subsequently, Abdul Razzaq promptly released the apology video, addressing the situation and expressing remorse for his unintended comments.

The controversy arose when Abdul Razzaq, in an earlier media address about Pakistani cricket, used Aishwarya Rai as an example to illustrate his point. He made a candid statement, saying, "If one marries Aishwarya with the intention of having pious kids, it is not possible."

The statement was met with laughter from others present. Following Shahid Afridi's insistence, Razzaq apologized publicly, acknowledging the impropriety of his comments and the need for a swift correction.
