Pakistan-Tunisia Joint Commission meeting begins today

ISLAMABAD:The two-day 9th Pakistan-Tunisia Joint Commission meeting begins in Tunis today to review bilateral political relations and discuss avenues to further expand the economic relations between the two countries. 

Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif will attend the meeting on the invitation of his Tunisian counterpart Khemaies Jhinaoui.

A number of bilateral agreements of cooperation in the fields of banking, industrial and agriculture research, higher education and cooperation between small and medium enterprises are expected to be signed during the Joint Commission meeting.

The foreign minister will also have meetings with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi and Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Ennaceur. APP
