Shahid Afridi responds back to Indian media criticism

ISLAMABAD – Shahid Afridi on Wednesday accused Indian media ofmisconstruing his comments on Kashmir issue.

The 38-year-old cricketer took to popular micro-blogging website Twitterand issued clarification.

He said, “My comments are being misconstrued by Indian media! I mpassionate about my country and greatly value the struggles of Kashmiris.Humanity must prevail and they should get their rights.”

Afridi further added, “My clip is incomplete & out of context as what Isaid before that is missing.Kashmir is unresolved dispute & under brutalIndian occupation. It must be resolved as per UN resolution. Myself alongwith every Pakistani support Kashmiri freedom struggle. Kashmir belongs toPakistan.”
