ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader NawazSharif has refused to answer key questions in the infamous Al Azizyareference.
Sharif recorded his statement in Al-Azizia reference under Section 342 ofthe Criminal Procedure Code.
Ex-prime minister said that he didn’t hold any public office from October12, 1999 to May 2013 and that he submitted the wealth tax returns byhimself.
Nawaz has answered 45 out of 50 queries and requested the court to allowhim to record statement in remaining five questions after consultation withhis lawyer Khawaja Haris.
He also refused to respond to the question related to his son HussainNawaz’s tax returns.
Previously, the judge had remarked that accountability court would informapex court about the progress in remaining two corruption referencesagainst the Sharif family.
