McDonald’s Pakistan has clarified that their local operation is entirelyseparate from the one in Israel, following criticism over the Israelibranch providing free meals to the military during the conflict with Hamas.
In a statement shared on a platform like Twitter, the company stated,”McDonald’s in Pakistan is a locally-owned enterprise, fully managed bySIZA Foods Pvt Ltd Pakistan. We have no connection to McDonald’s operationsin Israel, which is independently owned by an Israeli enterprise.”
This clarification comes after the social media hashtag #BoycottMcDonaldsgained traction worldwide.
McDonald’s Israel announced via Instagram that they would be providing freemeals to Israeli soldiers through dedicated branches focused on aid anddonations to security and rescue forces, pledging around 4,000 daily meals.
