Indian National Airline plane makes emergency landing at Karachi Airport

An Indian passenger plane made an emergency landing at Karachi’s JinnahInternational Airport. According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Air IndiaExpress flight IX192 was en route from Dubai to Amritsar when a passengeron board fell ill near Koh Patan, in Balochistan, Pakistan.

Upon contacting the pilot, air traffic control granted permission for theplane to land at Karachi Airport.The Boeing 737 aircraft landed atKarachi’s Jinnah International Airport at 12:19 PM.

A medical team from Civil Aviation conducted an examination of thepassenger on board, and according to aviation authorities, the Indiancitizen’s condition was not well.

A medical team provided medical assistance to the passenger. The airport’sborder security personnel instructed the passenger to disembark for travelarrangements, and the aircraft took off for Amritsar at 2:25 PM.

It should be noted that earlier in March, an Indian plane had made anemergency landing in Karachi due to the death of a passenger during theflight. The Indian aircraft was on a domestic flight from Panjgur inBalochistan, flying eastward 16 nautical miles, when the pilot requested todivert it towards Karachi.

The pilot requested doctors and an ambulance, stating that a 60-year-oldNigerian citizen was having difficulty breathing, and their pulse hadstopped. After confirmation of the passenger’s death by doctors at KarachiAirport, the aircraft departed with the deceased Nigerian citizen’s remainsfor burial.
