Pakistan likely to be removed from the FATF Greylist as it has already implemented most of the measures: Report

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is likely to be removed from the FATF Greylist as ithas already implemented most of the measures, Report has revealed.

Pakistani delegation, headed by Economic Affairs Minister Hammad Azhar, isin France to attend a crucial two-day session of Financial Action TaskForce, beginning in Paris on Monday.

According to sources, the FATF meeting would discuss a report on the stepstaken by Pakistan till April this year and a decision would be made onwhether to exclude Islamabad from the inter-governmental organisation’sgrey list.

Measures taken by Pakistan to prevent terrorist financing will also bereviewed in the FATF meeting.

Sources said Pakistan has already implemented most of the FATF measures.
