NEW DELHI – Navjot Singh Sidhu in his recent statement has stated Pakistana better place to be at than South India. He was basically referring to thesimilarity in culture of people living at both sides of the borders.
“For me, when I travel to South, I can’t understand the language. Not thatI dont like the food, but I cannot have it for a long time, the culture istotally different.
When I got to Pakistan, the language is the same, like you know, when youabuse in English 10 times, one abuse in Punjabi overpowers all.” Heexpressed his feelings at a time when he was participating in the 7thKhushwant Singh Literature Fest.
Indian media and extreme elements have once again started censuring him. They could not have already digested his much-hyped visit to Pakistan. Itpeeved the Indian extremists who even sent him threats with extremeconsequences.
Indian government rose objections on his warm hug with Pakistan’s Chief ofArmy Staff. COAS’s gracious offer of opening Kartarpur corridor for theconvenience of Sikh Pilgrims won the heart of Sikh community.
