DG ISPR makes an urge to Pakistani media

*LONDON – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) MajorGeneral Asif Ghafoor has spoken over the issue of Kashmir freedom struggleand the propaganda of the Indian media.*

*He said the indigenous freedom struggle of valiant people ofIndia-occupied Kashmir (IoK) had entered into a decisive phase, who weregiving unprecedented sacrifices to attain the ultimate success.*

“Pakistan is extending only moral, political and diplomatic support to IoKpeople, whose ongoing struggle for freedom from Indian occupation isindigenous,” he told a group of Pakistani media persons here at thePakistan High Commission.

“We are not providing any material support to the people of Indian occupiedKashmir,” Major General Asif Ghafoor, who is accompanying Chief of the ArmyStaff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on his three-day official visit to theUnited Kingdom, said.

He said Kashmir was an issue of core national interest. The Pakistan Armywanted that it should be resolved through dialogue, keeping in the view ofthe best interests of Pakistan, he added.

He termed the COAS visit to the UK successful. During meetings with the UKauthorities, professional matters were discussed, he added.

The DG ISPR called upon the Pakistani media to counter Indian propagandaagainst Pakistan and its army. The Indian claims of so-called false“surgical strikes” should be exposed, he added.
