Afghan Taliban says will continue talks with U.S. special envoy

In Afghanistan, the Taliban have said that they will continue to hold meetings with U.S. special envoy for peace in Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad to discuss ways to end the ongoing war in the country.

In a statement in Kabul on Saturday, Taliban Spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that in the talks held with Zalmay Khalilzad in Qatar on Friday, both the sides spoke about an end to the occupation and peaceful solution to the Afghan issue. He said the two sides also agreed to continue meetings in future.
