On Thursday, an Imam of a mosque in Larkana found himself in police custodyfollowing allegations of assaulting two young boys, as reported by 24NewsHDTV channel. The accused individual, identified as Shafiqur Rehman Almani,held the role of a Paish Imam at the local mosque.
The disturbing accusations pertained to his alleged assault on a12-year-old and a nine-year-old boy, leading to the registration of a caseagainst him. The complaint that triggered this legal action was filed byone of the affected boys’ fathers. The incident sparked outrage amongstudents of the madrasa, prompting them to stage a protest against theaccused.
