Former Pakistani cricketer Ramiz Raja has conveyed a clear message to theteam ahead of their crucial last Super 4 clash against Sri Lanka onThursday.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ramiz advised the team to steer clear ofsocial media and television, emphasizing the need for mental rejuvenation. This is especially important given the emotional rollercoaster the teamexperienced after their recent loss to India.
He said, “If anyone requires special practice, they can take it. Head tothe pool, relax. Avoid social media and television channels. There won’t beanything positive there as the entire nation is disheartened. Come togetheras a team. Blaming each other after such defeats, especially against India, should be avoided.”
With both Pakistan and Sri Lanka holding 2 points each after two Super 4matches, their upcoming match is essentially a virtual semi-final. Thewinner will advance to face India in the final.
However, in the event of a rain-induced washout in the Sri Lanka vs.Pakistan match, Sri Lanka will qualify for the final due to their superiornet run rate (-0.200) compared to Pakistan’s (-1.892).
