The inaugural gathering of the PSL Governing Council, led by the newlyappointed PCB management committee, has been scheduled for September 25th.This crucial meeting, set against the backdrop of numerous team ownerscurrently residing abroad, will convene through a video conferencingplatform. At the forefront of the meeting’s agenda is the pressing issue ofdetermining the dates for the upcoming edition of the league, a matter thatremains undecided at this juncture.

Additionally, a proposal is under consideration to potentially host theleague in the UAE if early general elections take place in the country nextyear. The teams involved in the PSL are eager to expedite the scheduling process. It’s essential to highlight that the Emirates Cricket Board has plans toorganize its own league from January 19th to February 18th, a developmentthat could potentially impact the availability of UAE venues for the PSL.

Notably, this gathering marks the first official interaction between ZakaAshraf, the head of the management committee, and the franchise owners, during which pivotal decisions regarding the league’s future will bethoroughly discussed.
