Applelinkisreportedly planning to launch a replacement for the Apple Watch Series 3that competes with lower-cost fitness trackers.
According to the international news source, the tech giant is likely tolaunch a new series at its virtual event on September 15.

Jon Prosser, a tech analyst, said in a tweet that the new model willfeature a similar design as the Apple Series 4, with 40mm and 44mm sizes tobe available.
Prosser said that some new features are not likely to be available in thelower-priced watches. New features such as the ECG app and an always-ondisplay are not likely to appear.
On the other hand, he also reported that the cheaper model will include theM9 chip, which is one of Apple’s older motion coprocessors found in deviceslike the iPhone 6s, the original iPhone SE, and the fifth-generation iPad.
Tech giant Apple traditionally holds its fall event in the month ofSeptember to announce new iPhones and other devices. As the company haslaunched every new iPhone in September since 2012.
