LAHORE – Funeral prayers for Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former prime ministerNawaz Sharif, have been offered at Sharif Medical City Raiwind on Friday.
Relatives, politicians, celebrities and hundreds of party worker attendedthe funeral rites.
Renowned scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel led the funeral prayers.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser,Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders Khursheed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira,MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, Mehmood Khan Azhakzai,Punjab Assembly speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and PML-Q leader ChaudhryShujaat Hussain were also present at the funeral rites of Begum KulsoomNawaz.
