ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is preparing to honor its air force pilots who achieved a decisive victory against the Indian Air Force during the May 2025 conflict. In a dramatic display of aerial superiority, the No. 15 Squadron “Cobras,” flying J-10C fighter jets equipped with long-range PL-15 missiles, successfully shot down six Indian aircraft. The downed jets included Rafale, Mirage-2000, MiG-29, and Su-30MKI fighters, a major blow to India’s air power and prestige.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the PAF for its professionalism and courage, declaring the victory a symbol of Pakistan’s resilience and technological edge. He confirmed that the pilots responsible for the operation would be decorated in a formal state ceremony, highlighting their role in defending the nation’s sovereignty. Military officials described the engagement as one of the most successful missions in Pakistan’s history, achieved without a single PAF loss.
Indian officials have attempted to downplay their defeat by putting forward contradictory claims, but Pakistan’s leadership has dismissed these statements as politically motivated. The PAF’s performance not only reasserted Pakistan’s dominance in the skies but also served as a powerful reminder that India’s much-touted modern hardware, including the Rafale and Su-30, remains vulnerable against Pakistan’s evolving capabilities.
This victory has boosted national morale and reinforced confidence in Pakistan’s defense forces, marking a historic chapter in the country’s military history.
