ISLAMABAD – Afghan Taliban have said that European and Asian countriesshould guarantee implementation of a possible peace deal between them andUnited States.
This was stated by Deputy Head of Taliban’s political office in Qatar andhead of Taliban’s negotiating team with U.S. Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzaiwhile talking to a Japanese newspaper.
He said Taliban group wants Japan, among other European and Asian countriesto serve as guarantors to make sure the US will withdraw its forces fromAfghanistan after a deal reached.
