ISLAMABAD: General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is likely to return to Pakistanin 24 hours. APML Secretary-General Dr Amjad said that the travelpreparation of the party leader is in the final stage. “We are reviewingthe flights’ schedule,” he said.
Amjad added that Musharraf can land in Pakistan anytime through a direct orconnecting flight, adding that the former chief of army staff’s passporthas not been un-blocked yet.link>link>
The Supreme Court earlier today heard a case filed by Musharraf in 2015against the rejection of his nomination papers in the 2013 generalelections, at its Lahore Registry.
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar ordered the former president to return tothe country by 2pm on Thursday. “The verdict will be announced incompliance with the law upon Musharraf’s failure to follow the orders,” heremarked.
The apex court noted that it was not bound to comply with any conditionsset forth by Musharraf.
