CAA makes sensational revelations over pilots getting fake licences

Islamabad: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has made sensational revelationsin its report submitted to Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Many pilots made others sit in the exam, the report says, adding that atleast 28 pilots allegedly sat for the exams on their weekly off. One pilot,named Shaukat Mahmood, gave the exam on Eid ul Adha.

Two pilots were not in the country on the day they gave the exam. YahyaMussawar, another pilot, was on duty in a flight when he allegedly gave theexam.

CAA has suspended the licenses of 32 of the 54 pilots who were beinginvestigated. In its report CAA alleged that PIA had submitted incorrectinformation for at least 30 pilots. Two senior Joint Directors have alsobeen suspended.

CAA now plans to register cases against the employees who it alleges hadgiven pilots illegal access to the system.
