BEIJING – The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing Monday hosted a specialinvestiture ceremony wherein Vice Foreign Minister of China Kong Xuanyouwas conferred Hilal-e-Quaid-e-Azam, the civil award of Pakistan.
Ambassador of Pakistan in China Masood Khalid conferred the award, onbehalf of the President of Pakistan, in recognition of Kong Xuanyou’sservices towards Pakistan and further strengthening of Pakistan-Chinarelations, said a press release.[image: Embedded video]link

Kong Xuanyou is currently serving as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs forAsia and Special Representative of the Chinese Government on the KoreanPeninsular Affairs in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. Earlier he wasAssistant Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2015 to 2017.

Kong Xuanyou has been a great friend of Pakistan and an ardent advocate ofPakistan-China friendship. He has earnestly worked to promote and reinforceall weather friendship between China and Pakistan and has cultivated goodwill for Pakistan in different spheres of influence in China.
