KABUL- The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan (MoD) says the Afghan andIndian officials discussed New Delhi’s support to the Afghan NationalDefense and Security Forces (ANDSF), particularly focusing on country’ssupport to the Afghan Air Force.

A statement by MoD stated that defense minister Gen. Tariq Shah Bahrami isin India on an official invitation of the Indian officials.

The statement further added that Gen. Bahrami held talks with the Indianofficials regarding the issues of bilateral interest, including training ofthe Afghan armed forces as well as New Delhi’s support to the Afghan AirForce.

In the meantime, the Ministry of External Affairs of India, in a statementsaid the Afghan defense minister discussed the intra-Afghan talks and thegovernment’s initiatives in this regard as well as the fight againstterrorism during his meeting with the External Affairs Minister SushmaSwaraj.
