MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin opened his heart out on Panama Leaks during his annual address.
He claimed that it is an international plot by US to destabilize Russia.
Putin said “We know that members of the American intelligence community are involved. The German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung is owned by a holding company, and that holding is owned by the American financial company Goldman Sachs. The closer we get to the elections, the more such attacks we will see.”
Putin refused any wrongdoing mentioned in leaked documents; he claimed that there is no specific evidence about any one.
Putin also hold talks about regional situation and Russian athletes’ meldonium case.
Putin said “We understand that our athletes are in a difficult situation. WADA is reviewing its approach to the use of drug, and we are working for a fair decision. The Ministry of Sports is working with good lawyers.”
