RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has conferred Gallantry Awards to Army jawans, officers and relatives of martyrs of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
According to ISPR, an investiture ceremony was held here in GHQ to confer military awards to those officers and jawans who showed their excellent performance in ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif was chief guest in the ceremony while a large number of military officers, relatives of martyrs and soldiers participated in the ceremony.
ISPR added that 35 officers and soldiers have been awarded Tamgha-e-Bisalat while 35 officers were conferred Sitara-e-Imtiaz military. Army Chief awarded 5 officers and jawans with United Nation Medals.
Medals of martyrs have been received by their relatives from Army Chief while after the ceremony General Raheel spent some time with the relatives of Shuhada.
