On Saturday, the Punjab government decided to ban the issuance of armslicenses to the common man.
According to sources, the Punjab cabinet committee approved a summaryseeking a ban on the issuance of new arms licenceslink to the common man. After theapproval of the provincial chief minister, a notification will be issued inthis regard, the sources added.
However, the cabinet committee has tightened SOPs for the issuance of armslicences link to the VIPs and thegovernment officers.
