ISLAMABAD – An Iranian Delegation led by Chairman of Board & ManagingDirector, TANAVIR, Muhammad Hassan Motevallizadeh Thursday called onFederal Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan to discuss bilateral and regionalissues.While extending welcome to the delegation Omar Ayub Khan said thatGovernment of Pakistan valued its relations with the Government of IslamicRepublic of Iran, said a press release issue here.The minister said that currently Pakistan was importing 104MW power fromIran, the tariff for which was expired in December, 2016. He appreciatedTANANIR for supplying uninterrupted power supply to Pakistan.Secretary Power Division Irfan Ali while welcoming the delegation,expressed the confidence that existing cooperation between the twocountries will further boost in the field of electricity.During the meeting matters relating to electricity import from Iran werediscussed.The Managing Director TAVANIR thanked Pakistani side for extending warmwelcome. He appreciated the efforts of Pakistani side to further boostcooperation between the two countries.Secretary Power Division, Irfan Ali and other senior officials of Ministryof Commerce, Finance, NTDC and CPPA also participated in the meeting.
