Saudi King Salman chaired cabinet meeting ahead of MBS visit, key decisions taken on 20 billion deals with Pakistan

*RIYADH: Saudi King Salman chaired a cabinet meeting ahead of Crown PrinceMuhammad bin Salman’s trip of Pakistan.*

During the meeting, the king authorised Saudi ministers to ink agreementswith Pakistani authorities during the upcoming visit of the Saudi crownprince.

Saudi Arabia’s energy minister Khalid al Falih and other ministers willsign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Pakistani officials invarious fields.

Source said accords worth $20 billion, including the project of setting upoil refinery, will be inked between the two countries.

The crown prince will arrive in Pakistan on the invitation of PrimeMinister Imran Khan on February 16 (Saturday).

The Saudi crown prince’s two-day visit of Pakistan will further promotemutual cooperation between the two countries, Foreign Office Spokesman DrMuhammad Faisal said.

The foreign office in Islamabad formally announced Saudi Prince Muhammadbin Salman’s visit of Pakistan.

Prince Muhammad bin Salman holds important ministries in the Saudigovernment, including that of the Vice President of the Council ofMinisters.
