Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has proposed an increase in the military budget. Regarding the possible visit of Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan, he mentioned that Mohammed bin Salman will visit Pakistan for an extended period. If the Supreme Court declares the NAB amendments unconstitutional, they will appeal, emphasizing that legislation is the prerogative of Parliament.
He also mentioned that there will be a crackdown on illegal Afghan migrants. As for the timing of elections in Pakistan, he stated that elections won't be rushed unnecessarily, waiting for delimitation to be completed, and it's essential that constituencies are fairly demarcated to avoid favoring any particular political party.
He emphasized that the Election Commission should not be pressured and should be allowed to do its job independently. The Prime Minister's House and the federal cabinet are not part of the Election Commission; it is an independent institution that should operate according to its own plans.
