Pakistan cricket team's captain, Babar Azam, has said before the highly anticipated World Cup match against arch-rivals India that the entire stadium will be supporting India, and they will strive to deliver a strong performance in the match.
Speaking to the press in Ahmedabad, Babar Azam stated that Pakistan-India matches are always challenging, and the toss in the upcoming match against India will be crucial. Captain Azam emphasized that they are focused on the present, not dwelling on the past.
He expressed the intent to put on a good performance in tomorrow's match, hoping that Pakistani fans will also come to the stadium. According to Babar Azam, they will be aware of Naseem Shah's absence, who made an impact with his fast bowling in the Asia Cup, but he has confidence in Shahin Afridi, and a couple of matches' performance doesn't mean there's a question mark.
Discussing conditions in Ahmedabad, Babar mentioned that like every city, the conditions here are unique, and spending more time helps understand them better. They spent a lot of time in Hyderabad, but conditions vary from city to city.
Captain Azam stressed the need to control the margins for bowlers and strategize on how to get India's top order out. It is clear that Pakistan and India will face off at Ahmedabad tomorrow in what is expected to be an intense match.
