KARACHI, Jun 13 (APP): PCB alleged for its discriminatory role

 

Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) has alleged for ignoring players from Karachi in Pakistan's England bound team despite showing brilliant performance in domestic cricket.

 

Spokesman KCCA Jamil Ahmed in a statement stated here on Monday that Khurram Manzoor,Fawad Alam, Asif Zakir and Akbar-u-Rehman had shown outstanding performance in the domestic cricket, but these players were not given place in the national team tour to England.

 

He urged the selection committee of PCB that it should explain what kind of criteria it was following for inclusion of players for tour abroad.

 

The spokesman KCCA questions that either selection on performance is made in domestic cricket or fitness, personal likings and dis-likings, nepotism and contacts is the criteria.

 

Various questions were being raised over the selection of national team for England tour but so far selection committee could not come up with suitable answers, he alleged.

 

The KCCA had already sent a letter to PBC Chairman Shahryar Muhammad Khan lodging Association's complain and expecting that the Board Chairman would take a notice of the issue by providing  justice to the players from Karachi.
