Federal Cabinet takes important decision over ban against TLP

ISLAMABAD - The federal cabinet has decided to maintain ban on Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) and the cabinet also approved the proposal to set up a JIT for Haleem Adil as well as a 15 per cent special allowance for the armed forces.

This was stated by Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry while briefing top the journalists about decisions taken by the federal cabinet, which met in the federal capital on Tuesday under the chair of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

A 22-point agenda was reviewed in the cabinet meeting. Fawad Chaudhry said that the salary of the army has not been increased for the last two years, therefore 15 per cent special allowance is being given to the armed forces. "Allowances will also be given to Rangers and FC employees on the orders of the prime minister," he added.

The minister also mentioned that the cabinet, on the request of Haleem Adil Sheikh, approved the formation of a JIT to investigate the cases framed against him by the Sindh government. "The premier directed the next cabinet meeting to present a comprehensive plan for rationalizing the security and protocols of key personalities."
