ISLAMABAD: World Top auto manufacturer companies are interested in setting up manufacturing plants in Pakistan.
Minister for Industries and Production Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi on Friday informed the Senate that different car manufacturing companies including Renault, Foton, Honda, Nissan and Hyundai have shown interest to set up their manufacturing plants in Pakistan. He said the matter is being processed.
The minister hoped that investment will come to Pakistan as a result of setting up of these plants in the country.
Replying to a question, Jatoi said the government is facilitating manufacturers of car components through concessionary imports of raw material, sub-component required for the manufacturing and assembly of auto parts.
