LAHORE: An accountability court declared Paragon Housing Scheme director Nadeem Zia, Kamran Kayani and Khalid Hussain as proclaimed offenders in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme case.
Accountability Court Judge Syed Najamul Hassan Bukhari conducted the proceedings wherein a report was filed by National Accountability Bureau.
A NAB special prosecutor told the court that the bureau completed proceedings to declare Kamran Kayani, Nadeem Zia and Khalid Hussain as proclaimed offenders in the scam. He pleaded with the court to declare them proclaimed offenders.
The court accepting the request declared the said accused as proclaimed offenders.
On January 10, the court ordered the bureau to start proceedings to declare the accused as proclaimed offenders after it was submitted that the warrants for arrest of accused had not been served upon them since their residences were found locked. The court directed for publication of notices in newspapers, directing the accused to appear in the court till February 11.
NAB had filed a supplementary reference against PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, Nadeem Zia, Kamran Kayani, Khalid Hussain, and others in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing case.
