RAWALPINDI: (APP) A civil court on Friday sent US national Mathew Craig Barrett blacklisted under Foreigners Act on 14-day Judicial remand.
According to details, the FIA Investigation officer requested the Court for his further physical remand after completion of his three days remand.
Meanwhile, the accused claimed before the court that he had come back to visit his in-laws, adding there were no charges against him as "he has a valid visa issued by the Pakistan Consulate in Houston."
The FIA officer sought custody of the US national and the FIA officer who was also arrested for facilitating Mr. Mathew for further interrogation and the judge Naveed Iqbal Tarar sent him on 14 -day Judicial remand.
Barrett was arrested in year 2011 while taking photographs of sensitive installations in Jhang Bahtar area near Islamabad. Maps of sensitive installations were also recovered from him.
