Lahore police included in Joint Investigation Team (JIT) – devised to probethe attack on former prime minister Imran Khan – has failed to acquire atarget as Lahore police CCPO had directed them to find the link betweendetained accused Naveed and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
During the investigation of accused Naveed, no link could be found betweenhim and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. Naveed is stick to the statementhe gave on the very first day. His wife, relatives and friends were alsointerrogated.
The services of former and retired police officers were used forinterrogation. The JIT has recorded statements of 200 persons includingfive injured.
