ISLAMABAD – Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari has expressedsurprise at the US Administration’s decision to add Pakistan to theblacklist for religious freedom violations, terming it absurd andunacceptable.
In a statement, she said Washington is apparently using this as a brazenpolitical tactic to pressure Pakistan to mitigate US failures inAfghanistan.
She said the deliberate ignoring of India’s shrinking space for itsreligious minorities by the United States while targeting Pakistan isabsurd and unacceptable.
