Petroleum prices in Pakistan to be increased

Despite the decline in international petroleum product rates, the price ofpetrol in Pakistan is projected to rise from November 16. Sources indicatethat global price reductions and a robust dollar may not bring significantrelief to fuel costs, with a potential increase of Rs 3 per liter forpetrol in the next 15 days.

In contrast, users of high-speed diesel could see relief of up to Rs 8.50starting November 16. Additionally, kerosene prices are expected todecrease by Rs 5.5 per liter during the same period, while light diesel oilmight witness a reduction of Rs 8.5 per liter.

As of November 1, the ex-refinery price of petrol was established at Rs199.16, with expectations of it climbing to Rs 202.34 by November 15.

Concurrently, the ex-refinery price of high-speed diesel on November 1stood at Rs 225.72, and it is anticipated to decrease to Rs 217.52 byNovember 15, according to sources.
