India gives a setback to Israel

India voted in favor of the resolution presented in the United NationsGeneral Assembly, condemning Israeli settlements in the occupiedPalestinian territories, including activities labeled as colonization.

According to reports, the resolution, brought forward by the UN Committeeon Special Political and Decolonization Affairs, received 145 votes infavor, 7 against (including the United States, Canada, Hungary, Israel,Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Nauru), with 8abstentions.

The agreement, which addresses activities in the occupied Palestinian andSyrian territories, condemns colonization efforts, land seizures, andactivities disrupting the economy in these regions.
