ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has stressed the need for respectingeach other’s religions and sentiments.

Talking to President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani whotelephoned him on Tuesday, he called for enhanced dialogue as well ascooperation for promoting inter-cultural and inter-faith harmony.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government’s resolve to respect thejudgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and said as citizens ofPakistan, Asia Bibi and her family are entitled to all rights as guaranteedby the Constitution of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister also conveyed serious concerns of the Government andpeople of Pakistan on the issue of blasphemous cartoons and caricatures ofthe Holy Prophet (PBUH). He underscored the need to redouble efforts inEuropean countries to avoid such provocative incidents.

Antonio Tajani thanked the Prime Minister for ensuring safety and securityof Asia Bibi and her family.
