In a first, Pakistan joins the Club of World s Car Exporting Countries

Pakistan has recently made its debut in the global car market by exportingthe first batch of 14 modern SUV vehicles to Kenya and Tanzania.

In this significant milestone, Pakistan joined the league of car-exportingnations through the collaboration of Pakistan and China in the form of theautomotive joint venture Master Changan Motors. This marked the firstinstance of an auto company from Pakistan exporting SUV vehicles to foreigncountries.

The auto company, Master Changan Motors, dispatched the initial 14 SUVvehicles to Kenya and Tanzania.

A noteworthy ceremony was organized in Karachi to celebrate thisachievement, making it the first Pakistani-Chinese auto company to exportvehicles to two foreign countries. Federal Secretary Industries andProduction Asad Rehman was in attendance at the event.

Asad Rehman expressed that the government would request auto companies tolower car prices following a significant decrease in the value of the USdollar (USD). He mentioned that an auto firm had recently published anewspaper advertisement aiming to reduce vehicle prices.

In this move, the Pakistan-Chinese automotive joint venture Master ChanganMotors sent the first shipment of its SUV model, Oshan X7, to Kenya,marking a promising development for Pakistan’s entry into the global carmarket despite facing a severe economic crisis.
