The National Assembly Standing Committee on Information Technology andTelecommunication was informed, today (Tuesday), that National CyberSecurity Policy is being formulated to protect Cyber Space and Data.
The committee sought detailed briefing on the proposed draft of theNational Cyber Security Policy from the IT ministry in its next meeting.
Director National Cyber Security Centre Dr Kashif Kifayat emphasizing theneed for effective Cyber Security Policy to protect the people fromcyber-attacks, informed the committee that 11 forensic laboratories arebeing set up in 10 universities under Cyber Security Center and 12 moresuch laboratories will be set up for which an amount of over two billionhas been allocated.
